Sam/Sabrina's family and friends would like to create a way for her memory to live on while honoring the essence of who she was as a person. It is nearly impossible to capture the spirit of who a person is and tie it up into a memory, and this is true even in her short life. She meant the world to many people as a child, grandchild, friend, sibling, student and academic. She was still figuring out her own life but made a lasting impression on so many. Part of her will certainly be carried forward in all of those who knew her. And although it will be difficult to represent all that Sabrina was, we will strive to do this in order to truly represent her as a person and parlay her love of learning and her ideals by supporting others that hold the same values and principles. The way we intend to do this is through an award/scholarship at her high school, Horace Greeley in Chappaqua. An additional memorial, related to science/math/education, will be created to remember her in the wider world.  This is all still a work in progress, but please continue to check back for updates. All donations will be directed into a scholarship fund or as a donation in Sam/Sabrina's name. As of the now we have raised just over $23,000 (some of this is from SamSabrina's personal savings account). As explained on the Memorial Page $10,000 will be gifted to the HGHS to cover 10 years of the award/scholarship. That is the only money that has been used or earmarked to date. I will continue to share details of how your donations are being utilized to keep the memory and dreams of SamSabrina alive and relevant in the science arena.
